Macro Monday - Pop! Pop! Pop! a great snack!
Did you know that a popcorn kernals can jump up to three feet in the air?
As a child I loved using the air popper to pop popcorn and coat it with a yummy layer of white chocolate.
In our house now you will often find kettle corn, my families favorite along with a good movie.

Here are a couple fun facts I found at
- Americans consume some 16 billion quarts of this whole grain, good-for-you treat. That’s 52 quarts per man, woman, and child.
- Most popcorn comes in two basic shapes when it's popped: snowflake and mushroom. Snowflake is used in movie theaters and ballparks because it looks and pops bigger. Mushroom is used for candy confections because it doesn't crumble.

Macro Monday - Let's celebrate SPRING!

Well with yesterday kicking off the first day of spring, I couldn't help but post something to go along with it. The weather this time of year is crazy, mother nature can't make up her mind whether it should stay winter or turn into spring. Last week while walking with some friends I noticed the crocus plants starting to bloom here in Cache Valley. Here are a couple shots I took. Spring is arriving....Yay!

Oneida Stake Academy - Part 2

So a couple of months ago I came across this site of urban decay and thought "I like it!" I found it weird that something so ugly could be beautiful. So check out the website and see where my inspiration came from.
Here is my version with the Oneida Stake Academy in Preston, Idaho. I think I might try this again somewhere else.

Oneida Stake Academy - Part 1

The Cache Valley Photographers went on a fieldtrip to shoot the old Oneida Stake Academy before they renovate. This has probably been one of my favorite shoots. I love that old decayed look in photographs and this building was great. (If you know of any other old buildings we could possible use for photos in northern utah please let me know... I would love to check it out.)  And what else makes a great picture....a beautiful model. She was wonderful!

Warning NO fly zone!

Just outside of Preston there are natural hot springs along side a small, dirt road. I could have spend an hour photographing them. Within a few feet you could find tons of pictures. The bugs caught my attention...there should have been a sign posted for them...Warning NO fly zone...danger ahead....Enter at your own risk, but there were no signs. Poor little bugs....

Dressed in White

You can't get any more precious than this....
I love babies soft delicate skin. And their hands and feet make them irresistible to photograph.
