My multi-talented brother-in-law Dan invited us to a backyard concert with some of his friends. My first thought was I wanna come and take pictures. Soon after it started I realized I am still horrible at shooting in low light conditions. As the night grew dark fast....I finally resorted to my Flash. Here are a few of the photos. (I just signed up for the trial version of lightroom 3, so I had to play around a bit.) Enjoy!

Logan Summerfest!

This weekend the Logan Summerfest held it's first ever photo contest. The competition started Monday. You had to take, print, and turn in your photographs before 2:00 Wednesday. I decided to enter for the challenge of doing something that made me uncomfortable- displaying my work for hundreds to see and critique. It was fun and I learned a lot! Here are my photos in case you missed them... the flower photo sold at the silent
 auction... I was really surprised.

Mr. Frog

D. found this frog hopping around the pasture and I couldn't resist giving 'Mr. Frog,' his own personal photo shoot. He was well behaved and upon finishing jumped happily into the water.

Rainy Days!

Took the kiddos to the Denzil Stewart Nature Park down in the island today. The rain reveals some interesting things. Does anybody know what this THING is?

I have decided to make a goal to post at least one photo each week, even if it has been a really busy week with the family. Hopefully within time I will see and improvement of my photos.

Bear River Bird Refuge

Brigham City is the gateway to the Bear River Bird Refuge. It's a wonderful scenic drive with a 12 mile loop and hundreds of birds. Here are my two favorite pictures of the day.
