Macro Monday - Yummy, Juicy and Red!

Yummy, Juicy and Red....I can't wait!

One of the best things about gardening is the taste of the fruits and veggies you grow.
Nothing store bought will ever compare to the taste you can get from your own garden.
Did I forget to mention how YUMMY things are! This year my strawberry plants have gone
crazy. I have never seen so many plants and huge flowers. I can't wait until it is time to eat them.

Macro Monday - Hosta Water Drops

This past weekend we were outside in the yard enjoying the sun while doing a little work.
It's amazing what you can find to take pictures of just in your backyard.
I had to snap a few photos after watering my hostas.

Photo Shoot at Sunshine Terrace

Back in March some photographers and I got to visit Sunshine Terrace and take photos of some
wonderful people. Here are a few of them I found while looking through my photos.

It was a lot of fun being there.
I enjoyed watching the interaction between the other photographers and the residents.

We asked her to make a silly face. This is what she came up with. She was such a cutie.

Macro Monday - Smoke Photography

This probably isn't considered macro, but I wanted to add it anyways. It's my first time upclose with smoke photography.  I think there is a lot of potential to make some neat pictures. Although I am a little hesitant to fill my house with the yucky smell of incense again, so it may have to wait. Here are a couple for now.

Planes, Planes, and More.

Took the family to Hill Air Force Base to check out the planes this past weekend.
It's a great free activity for your little pilots as home.

This one should be called, "Anticipation."
For all those little kids who wait for their daddy's call while out serving our country.

Macro Monday - Abstract canvas prints?

Today I thought I would experiment with a little abstact art. A few years ago I thought paintings of abstract things were horrible. Who would want to hang them on their walls? Well, I have grown to like them now. I can now see them hanging in my living room on canvas.  What are your thoughts with abstract?

Here is the original photograph with a watercolor filter in photoshop.
